Scott Bollert – Scotty is best known as the lead singer/front-man of the Canadian rock band, After The Lounge. Bollert was born just outside of the small town of Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. After a very short stint in Toronto in 1998 he moved to London, Ontario. Soon after moving to the new city he honed what was found to be slick jazz vocal skills and started performing as a front man of a jazz group. He and a couple of the members formed a side band that was moving in a more rock style to perform covers in bars. That group took the name of a song Scott had wrote called, After The Lounge. With a few different line-up changes they started playing regularly and writing rock originals. The success turned to opening for major acts and radio play.
After getting an itch for doing jazz once again in 2010 Bollert did a “one off” show with some local musicians that by popular demand turned into regular gigs with a name of Scott Bollert and the Jazzman Band. In 2015 the band created a “tribute” style show to perform called “A Taste of Sinatra”. The “Jazzman” project including The Sinatra show has moved to theater style shows along with TV specials and casinos. In 2021, he started to perform the “Piano and I” show which is a duo with Ontario pianists. All of his bands are playing regularly and After The Lounge releases new music worldwide yearly. His company Bollert Entertainment is currently filming a tourism show that he hosts called, Cruisin’. Bollert is also an advocate for helping and developing young artists. He also loves helping those less fortunate and can be seen organizing clothing and food drives with a moto of “If you have the ability to Give A Little, why wouldn’t you?”. Scotty’s past times are boating in Norfolk County, hockey and enjoying craft beers with fellow connoisseurs.
